Military & government facilities
URS conducts complex, multi-year, multi-phase remediation and environmental restoration programmes at government facilities throughout the world, including the delivery of a full range of services supporting the U.S. Department of Defense’s Base Realignment and Closure Program (BRAC); many of these facilities have been negatively impacted by unexploded ordnance (UXO), discarded military munitions and other hazardous waste.
URS also provides engineering and architectural design and construction services for military and government facilities. The prototype design for all future U.S. embassies and the renovation of the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., are among our signature government facilities projects.
