We maintain more than 400 offices in over 30 countries around the world. We employ some 42,000 people. Our US headquarters is in San Francisco, California. In Europe, our headquarters are in London, United Kingdom.
Q. What is your preferred method of receiving a CV?
We prefer to receive a CV through the Submit a CV page in the Career Centre section of our website. When you apply online, your CV is sent directly to our recruitment database, which is accessed by human resources and hiring managers in URS offices throughout the world. The hiring manager for the position will receive your information quickly and efficiently when you use this method.
Q. Is this opportunity still open?

Q. If I am interested in more than one position, how do I apply for all of them?
If you are qualified for and interested in more than one job opening, you only need to submit your CV once. You can apply for as many roles as you would like, simply attach your CV to each requisition.
Q. My CV formats strangely when I cut and paste it on the website. Can I e-mail my CV as an attachment?
Rather than e-mailing your CV separately, it is to your advantage to adjust the formatting in the CV text box. We are able to process CVs received via the website much faster than CVs received via the mail, or by fax or e-mail.
Q. Where do I find a requisition number to submit a CV?
Requisition numbers are listed at the top of all of our Job Opportunities. Find a position for which you are qualified and use that requisition number when submitting your CV online. It is necessary to submit your CV only once for multiple positions.
Q. How will I know if my CV has been received?
If you submit your CV properly online, you will receive an immediate acknowledgement on your screen. If you are submitting your CV by fax or regular mail, you will receive a letter in the mail confirming receipt.
Q. What is the status of my application?
When you have submitted your application, the hiring department will contact you directly if it is interested in pursuing your application.
Q. I don't have Internet access. How can I respond to one of your openings?
Our preferred method for receiving CVs is via our website because it is simple and efficient. Your local library, or Internet cafe etc. have computers with Internet access available for a small fee. You may also mail your CV along with the requisition number to a specific office, Attn: Human Resources Manager. For best scanning results, use plain white paper, at least 12 pt. font and no italics or columns.
Q. I saw an ad for an open position. What's the salary range?
URS salaries are industry-competitive and are determined by the level of skill and level of experience required for the position. When responding to an opening, please specify your salary requirement. More information on starting salaries can be obtained at the time of the interview.
Q. Does URS accept speculative CVs?
Yes, we do accept speculative CV’s however; we strongly encourage you to apply for a specific position. Q. When I submit my CV online, who has access to it?
All CVs received by URS are considered confidential and are evaluated only by the supervisory personnel who are seeking candidates for that position.

Q. How does the interview process work?
Job candidates usually receive an initial interview by a member of the hiring team in the department or office to which you've applied. In subsequent interviews, you may meet with several other supervisors or managers, prior to a hiring decision being made. Additional interviews may require more than one visit to the office.
Q. How do I get an appointment to tour a URS office?
If you are scheduled for a personal interview, you may request a tour of the office at that time.
Q. I am interested in URS and would like an informational interview. Whom do I contact to get an appointment?

Q. What are the Company's educational requirements?
It depends on the position. Generally, we seek applicants with at least a university honours degree. Some positions, however, require additional education and qualification. Still others call for the applicant to be a doctoral candidate. Candidates should have a degree in the following or related disciplines to the position on offer:
