URS’ Washington Division provides engineering, construction and technical services for power, industrial / process, infrastructure, mining and environmental management projects.Washington Division has constructed power-generating facilities for over 100 years for the nuclear, fossil fuels, hydroelectric, renewable and alternative energy markets. From conceptual engineering to maintenance, we offer single-point management for grassroots, retrofit and expansion projects. We also develop new generation projects and retrofit existing fossil-fired units with air-quality-control systems.
We manage high-risk, technically complex programmes and facilities, including nuclear waste management and disposal programmes for the U.S. Department of Energy and other government agencies. For commercial nuclear clients, our cross-market capabilities provide the specialist resources and expertise required for integrated solutions covering the entire nuclear life cycle.
We have engineered and / or constructed power plants providing more than 250,000 megawatts of power globally.
